PUT ALL YOUR SOUL IN EVERYTHING YOU DO (ft .A very short story)

It's easy to put our heart, mind, and soul into doing something that we love, but it's quite challenging to even concentrate on something in which we have the least interest. But will you accept it if I say that, to an extent, we also lose interest in the things that we once valued more than our life?

A little girl kept on pressuring her parents to get her a doll that she saw in an advertisement. She cried, rolled on the floor, and fought. She fed her desire and not her hunger. After three days of protest, she got the doll she wanted. A week passed, and her mother found the same doll she had bought for her child a week before under their bed, hair tangled, stuck between the dust, patches of dirt on its fair skin. The mother was shocked to see the doll in this miserable state. She called out to her daughter for an explanation. The little girl said calmly, "Maa, I played with this doll so much for the past one week that now, if I look at it, I feel irritated."

Children usually feel excited when they see new toys, but if they get used to playing with them continuously, they feel bored and look out for other toys (new toys). The same goes for adults too, if we keep doing the same thing over and over as a routine, we tend to feel irritated and frustrated, like robots. We are created to be natural and to do things in a flow, not in a rigid routine.

But in situations like this, how do we put our whole soul into the things we do? Times like this are completely normal, and it's okay if we feel depressed or tired even in work that we love. I would suggest taking a break amidst this irritation and doing something that would relax your mind and make you forget the frustration.

For me, I would go for singing, crocheting, playing the keyboard, or enjoying a cup of coffee. It can be anything, reading, writing, painting, or listening to your favourite songs. If it’s a long-term issue, take a break for a few days, relax yourself, and then get back with an unshakeable spirit to the things that once made you to run away. This relaxing phase will help you in many ways; the most important is that, after relaxing, you can put your whole soul, mind, and heart back into the things that once pushed you to the verge of quitting.

Not with the spirit of frustration,

But with the unfailing spirit,

until we do it with our whole soul.
