Beth - Little Women

My wish is to have us all to be together with father and mother in this house - that's what I want

                                                Beth March

Little Women by Lousia May Alcott was one of the finest works of literature. It was my first novel to start reading, a year ago. Each character in the novel impacted me on a certain occasion occurred in the novel. Beth (one of those four sisters, for everyone she is known as a quiet and shy girl), I was influenced by every little action that she does in a scene in the novel. She is such a kindhearted, warm and calm character. All that she wanted was to be happy with everyone in her family. She had a simple desire that would be fulfilled in the later part of the novel, but without her being with family. Everyone talks about Jo and Amy but why no one talks about Beth? She is a wonderful character who has a very good relationship with everyone around her. Beth was concerned about her family, so she tried her best to keep them together. She was a people-pleaser and it's not a criticism. Unlike Jo and Amy, Beth keeps everything within herself. She never raises her voice for herself, and she never disappoints the expectations of society as she fits into it. Beth was a good friend of Mr. Laurence; she was compassionate about everyone around her as she visited Hummels in the absence of Mrs. March. All the buzz is about the friendship between Jo and Laurie but Laurie also had a pure friendship with everyone in March's family that also includes Beth; Laurie plays a music piece for Beth. Her musical skills are extraordinary which makes the audience mesmerized into the world of music. Today, I watched the movie "Little Women", this scene of the March family getting reunited with their father left me in tears because this was all that Beth desired. But she couldn't be with them till the end of the novel.
