The adaptation

Image
Going out for a while with our family and relaxing is all we need amidst a frantic schedule. The plan to have a long drive and visit the bird sanctuary helped us to escape from sitting amidst the loud noises of crackers. I wasn't excited about the drive, but I was excited to see the habitation of the birds and the environment around the sanctuary. It was 2 hours of driving, and the green scenery of farming fields captured our hearts in the rural area. Then we finally reached our destination. The outlook of the sanctuary isn't appealing, but when I got to explore the scenery of the flock of birds clinging to the trees, which are around by water, that felt amazing. The climate and the atmosphere were misty; the place was less crowded, which made us to enjoy the environment comfortably. While my dad was telling the facts about the migration of the birds, I realised when birds can adapt themselves to a new environment for Better living, then why shouldn't we adapt ourselves to...

The locked key

Image
Blaming doesn't make things better; it makes situation worse 2 months ago me and my dad went for a wedding reception. Where I didn't even know the bride and groom, but my dad insisted me to accompany him to the reception. I was left with no other option so I accompanied my dad and went there. Everything went great; after greeting all the unknown relatives and giving a weird smile for the photo and I had good biryani for dinner before leaving the reception hall. As we were talking with our brother's family and walking to the parking lot, my dad told me to ride the bike as he was already tired of the hectic day. I usually wore my scarf before riding, so while taking the scarf from the luggage box of the scooty, I put the scooter key in the box to tie my scarf, but instead of taking the keys back, my absent mind pulled the seat down which cause the luggage box to be closed. Then I searched for the key to start the scooty, but it was nowhere to be found. I remembered putting ...

Cherish

Image
Cherishing never let us regret   Recently my friend asked me about one thing that I regretted doing in life. My instant reply was ā€œThe one thing that I regret to this day was not treating my grandmother when she was with usā€. When I was around 7-8 years old our grandmother stayed with us for a short period. I wasn't mature enough to take good care of my grandma; instead, I always found a way to argue with her. My grandma always prays lying down on the couch while I think she is sleeping, so when I turn on the television, she gives me an earful of advice. I was irritated by her advice, and I always asked my mom when she would be going back to our native. From my memory, she stayed with us for 4-6 months then she stayed with our uncle's family. 4 years later, her health condition got worse; she couldn't recognise her children and grandchildren. Even then, I was worried about her but never realized my mistake in how I treated her. After a year, she left the world. My grandmoth...

Judging

Image
Never Judge                                The absence of admiration and confidence in us is more noxious than judging others Judging someone by their appearance or attitude and gossiping about them is the worst behaviour ever. We cannot assume things about someone depending on their attitude, we can't just decide one's personality by looking at them. I felt so bad for judging certain people with just their attitude which I saw in general. But when I talked with them, they were the sweetest people whom I ever saw. It is human nature to judge someone but it's not only an unpleasant thing to do but also it degrades yourself and your decency. Even though you don't gossip about somebody, it's wrong to judge them within yourself. On the other hand, you shouldn't compare yourself to others; if you start to compare yourself with others you'll gradually judge them and also you'll lose your true self by comparin...

The contrast between Little Women and pride and prejudice

Image
The contrast between Little Women and Pride and Prejudice  The novel Little Women by Louisa May Alcott was set during the American Civil War around the 1860s. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen was set around 1811. Both novels present the social expectations of women, love between classes, the unbreakable bond between sisters, family, struggles, and social norms...these were common in both novels but appear different according to their society. Little Women revolves around the life of the March family, where Mr & Mrs March is very concerned about their children but never forces them to do anything. They never conclude any situation with society's norms, but they did care about their children's concerns regarding that particular opinion. Mrs. March supports Jo in her decision to confess to Laurie as her mother knows that Jo has pure love towards Laurie, but they don't know that he is already engaged to her younger sister. Mrs. March also supports and encourages Jo for he...

Little women

Beth - Little Women   My wish is to have us all to be together with father and mother in this house - that's what I want                                                   Beth March Little Women by Lousia May Alcott was one of the finest works of literature. It was my first novel to start reading, a year ago. Each character in the novel impacted me on a certain occasion occurred in the novel. Beth (one of those four sisters, for everyone she is known as a quiet and shy girl), I was influenced by every little action that she does in a scene in the novel. She is such a kindhearted, warm and calm character. All that she wanted was to be happy with everyone in her family. She had a simple desire that would be fulfilled in the later part of the novel, but without her being with family. Everyone talks about Jo and Amy but why no one talks about Beth? She is a ...

ART OF WRITING

Image
ART OF WRITING More to know; less to blow More to express; less to depress Words stuck inside Punctuation cleared the wayside Shift of world to shift of soul Admire it, appreciate it  But don't judge it Writing is a wonderful source to communicate and to express what we feel. From happiness to the worriness, everything can be expressed through writing which is more effective than writing. From 500 BC to this day, letters were seen to be a source of communication. Speaking words couldn't describe or express much but writing does. Giving detail and wonderful descriptions of things is a characteristic of writing. In times when words are stuck inside the throat, writing speaks for you. No limitations can stop you from expressing yourself. But the principle I follow is that "Admire every writing without judging it".

Tragedy as comedy

Image
Tragedy as Comedy  Hey dear all, I hope everyone is doing great. I recently felt the missing pieces from me for the past few months without writing blogs. My mind was suffocated with so many thoughts which I couldn't neglect. In recent times, I couldn't figure out myself trying to ignore every gloomy thought arising within myself. So, finally, I decided to start over my writing again to get rid of those negative opinions, I am grateful and excited to meet y'all here again. But from now, I'm burdened to share this thought-provoking content, "Tragic as Comedy". One of my professors shared a lecture on the background and outline of the play "Riders to the Sea" As he was giving the outline to the act, he talked about the tragedy. According to Greek mythology, tragedy is meant for the high-ranking people in society; their suffering is only seen as a tragedy; getting punishment from the Divine because of their foolishness is seen as a tragedy. But the pai...
